Alternate Current, or AC, on the other hand, is a different type of electricity generation. This means that you can actually use the same electricity that powers your refrigerator and your lights each month without having to buy extra electricity. However, because AC electricity is generated by a different type of energy than the one used by your home's solar panel installation, your bill will be higher.
